Colley, Linda

geb. 1949, Historikerin, nach Professuren in Yale (1982-98) und an der London School of Economics (1998-2003) lehrt sie seit kurzem an der Universität Princeton. Der Text beruht auf dem Schlußkapitel ihres Buches »Lewis Namier«, das 1989 in der Reihe »Historians on Historians« bei Weidenfeld and Nicolson in London erschien.
